Turtle Watch Beach House is far enough away from town to hear the ocean sing yet so close with a 5min walk to town.

In the summer May - October Sea Turtles have been arriving on Folly Beach to nest for hundreds of years right in the backyard.

It's an amazing site to witness quietly.

 

The owner vacationed in this home several times before buying it in 2015. 

 With a very talented eye, her visions saw what a beautiful house this could become. So began the renovations, all the while redesigning with turtle hatchlings in mind.  Lights to be installed and face a certain direction,  window treatments to prevent beach lighting during turtle nesting season, installing certain types of low light deck lights, refurnishing the entire house with comfortable practical furniture, with enough alcoves for all to enjoy tranquility while visiting with family and friend.   Turtle Watch  then became a truly stunning Beach House.  The name of the house, Turtle Watch,  comes from her many decades of experiences with rescuing and caring for turtles .
